Apprenticeship: Production and Manufacturing
Current Role: Team Leader - Production and Returns
I was looking to start a career in Engineering. I was new to the area and looking for a way to excel in my career. I believed an apprenticeship would allow me to do this as I would be gaining relevant work experience and study at the same time.
WCCTV demonstrated that they offer their employees room to grow and develop their potential. The Company has a hardworking culture but with a friendly working environment. My day to day duties always varied, regardless of the fact I was an apprentice, which kept me motivated and driven. This has continued as I have grown with the Company and taken on leadership responsibilities.
WCCTV encouraged me to use my initiative and prove my skills and abilities through the various tasks and responsibilities. The support offered by the Company was a major contributing factor in why I was awarded an 'Outstanding Achievement Award' for my apprenticeship.
I received the award for my commitment and dedication to WCCTV. After completing my apprenticeship, I remained with WCCTV and have since been promoted to Production and Returns Team Leader, managing a team of four people responsible for building, testing, and dispatching surveillance equipment to the Company's Global clients.
It's a fantastic opportunity to progress and advance your skills. WCCTV gave me a career and showed me that the possibilities are limitless with hard work and dedication.
They have allowed me to expand my knowledge, and the team are great to work with - they are always there for
advice and support.
