Apprenticeship: Warehousing and Storage
Current Role: Stock Control Team Leader
I hoped that by doing an apprenticeship, I would be able to learn while I got actual work experience at the same time. I wanted to do something hands-on, so an apprenticeship felt like the right thing to do.
I was coming towards the end of my apprenticeship and was looking for somewhere to fully develop my career. WCCTV explained to me how they believe in developing people, and outlined the progression opportunities that could be available to me in a growing company.
The whole team has been incredibly helpful during my time at WCCTV; everyone understands what needs to be done and is always on hand to help if needed.
The thing that has stood out most is how well the Company communicates its objectives. We all know what we need to do, how to do it and when it needs to be done. We're all given responsibility but supported with training along the way.
During my time with the Company, I have progressed from being a Stores Apprentice to the position of Stock Controller. I have full responsibility for ensuring the Company has everything it needs to fulfil orders across the globe. It's a huge challenge and one I look forward to every day.
I definitely would! WCCTV clearly cares about its people, supports them and gives them opportunities they may not have otherwise had. At WCCTV, it feels like hard work is always recognised and rewarded.
